Project Manager
Position Summary
The Project Manager is responsible for the end-to-end planning, execution, commissioning, and successful delivery of assigned compressed natural gas (CNG) and renewable natural gas (RNG) fueling infrastructure projects. The Project Manager serves as PSI Fuels’ primary operational leader for assigned projects from turnover through final customer acceptance and owns safety, schedule, budget, engineering and procurement coordination, subcontractor performance, customer communication, closeout, and project profitability.
Primary Responsibilities
Project Planning & Leadership
- Participate in estimating, proposal review, contract review, project turnover, and execution planning.
- Review contracts, drawings, specifications, scope, commercial requirements, and project risks.
- Develop and maintain project execution plans, schedules, procurement plans, and milestone tracking.
- Coordinate engineering, equipment procurement, fabrication, material deliveries, permitting support, and field execution.
- Lead project kickoff, progress, customer, subcontractor, and closeout meetings.
- Manage multiple concurrent projects and establish clear accountability across the project team.
Construction & Field Coordination
- Direct and support Construction Superintendents and field personnel assigned to projects.
- Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, inspectors, engineers, utilities, and authorities having jurisdiction.
- Resolve field issues, unforeseen conditions, design questions, and execution conflicts promptly.
- Support startup, testing, commissioning, customer training, punch-list completion, and final acceptance.
Financial & Commercial Management
- Own the Approved Construction Budget and overall project financial performance.
- Track commitments, costs, forecasts, labor productivity, change orders, billings, and cash flow.
- Review and approve project invoices and subcontractor payment applications within delegated authority.
- Identify opportunities to protect or improve project gross margin without compromising safety, quality, or customer commitments.
- Maintain accurate project reporting and promptly elevate material financial or schedule risks.
Customer & Team Leadership
- Serve as the primary customer contact throughout project execution.
- Provide clear, timely project status communication and resolve customer concerns professionally.
- Lead, mentor, and develop Superintendents and field personnel.
- Promote PSI Fuels’ culture of accountability, safety, responsiveness, disciplined execution, and long-term customer relationships.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum seven (7) years of heavy industrial, mechanical, utility, energy, or commercial construction experience.
- Minimum five (5) years managing construction projects with direct responsibility for budget, schedule, subcontractors, and customer communication.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent projects.
- Experience with CNG/RNG fueling infrastructure strongly preferred.
- Experience coordinating engineering, equipment procurement, field construction, commissioning, and closeout preferred.
Technical Skills
- Construction scheduling and project controls
- Budgeting, forecasting, cost management, and change-order administration
- Blueprint and specification review
- Microsoft Office 365 and Excel
- Bluebeam
- Procore preferred
- Salesforce or comparable project/CRM systems preferred
Physical & Travel Requirements
- Ability to travel extensively throughout North America, including overnight travel as project needs require.
- Ability to work safely in active industrial and construction environments.
- Ability to walk construction sites and perform field inspections.
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.

Compensation & Incentive Opportunity
- Base Salary Range: $120,000 to $145,000
- Performance Incentive: Construction Performance Incentive Program (CPIP)
- Total Compensation Opportunity: Approximately $180,000 to $200,000+ for exceptional performance
Compensation is based on experience, qualifications, role scope, and performance. Incentive compensation is not guaranteed and is subject to applicable plan terms, eligibility requirements, Company performance and/or project results.
